Rush Hour 3 (2007)

Movie Overview:

the first and the second one impress me more than anything, it was filled with enjoyment and exciting action. The franchise was going really well, so they decided to make another one. I read other reviews online, and some people didn’t really like the movie, I was afraid a bit, these two were my favorite of duo of all time. The main cast and the director, Brett Ratner is still there. Additional cast included Max von Sydow, famous for his role an exorcist in the movie The Exorcist. Those were the famous one, Hiroyuki Sanada is famous around Japan, but not really worldwide, I didn’t really know him until this movie.

Plot Overview:

They are back, and now they are going to Paris.

Movie Review:

It is still one of the best action comedy movie out there, I don’t know why people say it’s bad, but I found it better. Sadly it is true that the fighting choreography dropped a bit, but can blame Jackie, he was 52 years old that year, he won’t stay powerful forever. Chris Tucker still as funny as always, he is still the comedic trademark in this movie. Max von Sydow acted as a big guy, and it fit him, since he look like he is very wise. The uses of effect was great, it improved more from the last one, using impressive special effect stunt, and explosion. Jackie Chan didn’t need to break his bone for any of the stunt any more, leave it to the guy on the computer Jackie. The cinematography, the sound effect and the story were all very impressive. The movie still live on to its name and it became one of the most famous trilogy in the world, they talked about Rush Hour 4, I don’t know if they are joking or they are serious, but I’m looking forward to the movie.

After an attempted assassination on Ambassador Han, Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) and Detective Carter (Chris Tucker) are back in action as they head to Paris to protect a French woman with knowledge of the Triads’ secret leaders. Lee also holds secret meetings with a United Nations authority, but his personal struggles with a Chinese criminal mastermind named Kenji, which reveals that it’s Lee’s long-lost…brother. But their race will take them across the city, from the depths of the Paris underground to the Eiffel Tower, as they fight to outrun the world’s most deadly criminals and save the day.

I love a lot of scenes in this movie, especially that scene where Chris Tucker talked to the old martial art instructor, they thrown out a very smart language misconception at each other, and laughed so hard throughout that scene alone, it was one of the best scene din a1 film in the history of filming in my history, it was so bloody clever. The next scene that I like is the scene where they climbed on the taxi and the taxi driver didn’t want to drove them, Carter got angry and put his gun to the driver head, told him to drive, and make him sing the American anthem, who would do such a thing, only James Carter of course. Another scene I like is the scene where Carter figured out that the French woman is bald and have a tattoo of a list on the back of her head. He flipped out and said a lot of stupid thing that didn’t really make scene at all. The last scene that I like is the scene where Chris Tucker pretend to be a costume designer, his stereotyping Europeans accent and his words towards the dance in the club was priceless. The comedic aspect went up, but the action fall a bit in my opinion, but was still a great movie to watch.

MY RATE: 8/10
