Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010)

Movie Review:

I pick this movie out randomly, it caught my eye for some reason. The title sound promising, it sound like a horror-comedy flick. I love this genre, I like to watch horror movie too, and seeing a parody is very interesting. I don’t recognize any of the crews on this movie. A guy with a chainsaw on the cover, it remind me of Leatherface, and those guy look bad, my guest is as good as your, this must be a ridiculous psycho movie. Plus the names sound like those chipmunks in Rescue Rangers.

Plot Overview:

Tucker and Dale vs Evil

Movie Review:

This a very smart movie, I like it a lot. This movie shows a lot of clever twitch and unexpected situation. The movie will give you a blast throughout, and for horror fans it will blow their mind of how the movie references horror film so much. Throughout the movie, it shows you how screw up a misunderstanding can be, the people in there die so much by such stupid reasons, you will not expected how they die or when they will die, and I just love that so much. Nothing much to say about the acting, I don’t really need them to show much acting skill in a movie like this, it will be just fine if they can be in character, and they did it, The effect and gore or this movie is tremendous, at first I thought the movie is going to slack of on effect a bit, but no, the effect is awesomely done, blood splashing, impaling, body in a wood chipper, those are just a joy to watch. The misunderstanding situation is cleverly done, and every time they say stupid things that really wasn’t what happened I laugh so hard. This is one hell of a parody, it got bloody gores and great humor.

Two lovable West Virginian hillbillies, Tucker and Dale are headed to their “fixer-upper” vacation cabin to drink some beer, do some fishin’, and have a good time. But when they run into a group of preppy college kids who assume from their looks that they must be in-bred, chainsaw wielding killers, Tucker & Dale’s vacation takes a bloody & hilarious turn for the worse. It started from a misunderstanding, where the college kids thought that they kidnap their friend, and they all deduct that they are psycho feeding to the fire, Dale socialization to the group before that wasn’t good. The kids thought they were psycho killers, and they think the kids were a suicidal freaks. All hell break lose after that.

Of course my favorites are the death scene by accident caused by the kids alone, there kind of logically done, I just love how those kid just kill themselves, Tucker and Dale try to help them, and end up look like psychos. The scene that I like most out of all of them is the first scene, where Tucker accidentally saw through a beehive with a chainsaw, the bee chasing him while he still holding the chainsaw, so he swing it around and the kid thought he is going to him, later on the kid didn’t pay attention to what is ahead and end up impaling himself into a spike up tree branch. The second death scene that I like is the scene where the officer came in, accidentally knock down a column and a brick with bolts in it stick to his face, it causes his death. It is the only kill that I expected, the rest is just so random. No plot is involved, it just a pure fun-killing  movie.

MY RATE: 9/10
